Pompeii at sunset

Pick up from your hotel or villa at 4 p.m. to avoid the crowd and the heat, as Pompeii is one of the most visited archeological site of the world. After a 45 minutes driving you will reach Pompeii. Once in the ruins if you will close your eyes you could even imagine the terrified people running away from the eruption of Vesuvius just a few kilometres away from the site. In Pompeii you may spend a couple of hours to explore the best of highlights like the Forum, which is the main square of the ancient city, houses, markets, shops, like bakeries and fast food but also some of the very moving plaster casts of human beings.
